Ready for a place to call her own, primary school teacher Becky Watson, 32, turned her attention towards stepping onto the property ladder.\u00a0\u201cI was living with my parents in Burghfield, which had its perks, but I wanted my own space \u2013 a home that was mine, which I could really make my own, where I could relax after a full-on day at work.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0Starting her property search in January 2022, Becky explains: \u201cI was waiting for the right place to come along. \u201cWhen I was shown an empty apartment, I felt really excited about the prospect of decorating it and moving my own furniture in. Walking out onto the balcony was a real \u2018wow\u2019 moment for me, too. You could see the lake and surrounding green space. \u201cI\u2019d found out about Shared Ownership from my older sister, who bought through the scheme around 15 years ago now.
