To discover the thinking behind Bold Street Pavilion, we sat down with Levitt Bernstein, the architects behind the development. From creating green, people-focused streets to reintroducing the character of traditional Trafford neighbourhoods, they shared the inspiration behind this exciting new community.<\/p>\n
“Our starting point was really a question: what are streets for?”<\/em> says Gillian Harrison, Associate Director at Levitt Bernstein. “We wanted to create a new neighbourhood that put people at its heart, somewhere children could play out, where neighbours would naturally bump into each other, and where coming home felt like arriving somewhere with a real sense of community.”<\/em><\/p>\n That vision became the foundation for Bold Street Pavilion’s design. Gillian says “The rhythm along the streets is something I really love. This green route connects neighbouring parkland with Church View Gardens, a peaceful communal space nestled beneath mature trees with views towards St Mary’s Church. Residents can also enjoy \u201cSpire Walk\u201d, an ecological trail lined with wildflower meadows, designed to encourage exploration and provide opportunities for children to engage with the natural world.<\/p>\n Every home benefits from its own defined front garden, creating a welcoming transition between public and private space, while larger homes along the park edge enjoy leafy outlooks across mature green spaces.\u00a0For Gillian and the team, creating a sense of community was just as important as creating beautiful homes. Gillian says “There’s no hierarchy here.
