We were delighted to welcome Toby Phillips, Regional Director at the NHBC, to Saxon Reach last month.

Once completed, Saxon Reach will provide 225 new homes on the outskirts of Milton Keynes.  Set near picturesque Wavendon, the scheme forms part of the wider Glebe Farm development area, set to deliver a collection of retail and commercial facilities alongside a new school.

Accompanied by our site team, Toby was shown around the different phases of the development, learning more about the work we’re doing to ensure a high-quality build whilst using modern methods of construction.

Reflecting on his visit, Toby said, “It was fantastic to visit Saxon Reach and see first-hand the progress being made on site. It’s clear to see that the team is putting quality front and centre during construction and putting time into building excellent homes that will last for the long term.”

Ian Millard, Operations Director, Counties Region at L&Q adds, “Saxon Reach is the first L&Q-led development in Milton Keynes, and it was great to show Toby around. We’re proud of what we’re achieving here, showing how modern methods of construction can be used to build fantastic spacious homes in a vibrant new community.”

Saxon Reach is being built with innovative modern methods of construction. Following a landmark deal between L&Q and Stewart Milne Timber Systems in 2019, all the homes at the development are being built using off-site manufactured timber frames.

This innovative building method means that the frames of the new homes are built in a factory before being transported to the site and erected. This enables the new homes to be built to a consistently high standard, using precision engineered techniques in a controlled factory setting.

Works on Saxon Reach started in February 2019 and are expected to complete in November 2023.
