The Quarry welcomes Bexley leaders

This week, The Quarry was delighted to welcome Councillor Teresa O’Neill OBE, Leader of the London Borough of Bexley, for a tour of the site in Erith.

She was joined by the Council’s newly appointed Chief Executive, Jackie Belton, who was visiting the new eco-development for the first time.

The two council representatives were shown around the third phase of properties, which are currently under construction. Due to launch late 2019, these homes will include a selection of 1-4-bedroom properties, including apartments and family homes.

Cllr. O’Neill and Ms. Belton also had the opportunity to see the first streets of completed homes, which are now occupied by The Quarry’s first residents. This visit follows the Leader’s tour of The Quarry last spring, prior to the first residents moving in.

Councillor Teresa O’Neill OBE, said:

“It’s absolutely fantastic to see the progress being made on the site, especially now that people are living in the new homes. The Quarry shows what can be achieved through great partnership working, creating opportunities for families on a site that has historic links”.

Lucy Chitty, Sales and Customer Services Director for L&Q’s South region, said:

“It was wonderful to welcome Councillor Teresa O’Neill and Bexley’s new Chief Executive, Jackie Belton, on a tour of The Quarry.

“The development has been created with residents in mind, to ensure that it’s an environment where families and communities can grow, and we’re confident it’s a place people will love living in now and well in into the future. We’re delighted to be able to offer homes to suit everyone’s needs, across a range of affordable price points.”

Andrew Jay, Group Managing Director for Anderson’s, joint-venture partner for The Quarry, said:

“The excellent working relationship that we enjoy with the London Borough of Bexley is testament to their commitment to deliver homes and communities across the Borough.

“With a site of this size comes huge responsibilities, and it is only through working collaboratively with our superb joint-venture partners and the Council, that we can deliver on our promise to local people and new residents.”

The Quarry will provide around 600 new homes in the London Borough of Bexley, as well as open community spaces including a 3.25-hectare ecology area, play and ecology corridors, and a village green. A new primary school is also in development, which once completed will offer school places to pupils living in the Bexley area.

Prospective buyers can register their interest in the development here to receive the latest updates about the upcoming release of homes, or follow developments on Facebook and Twitter.
