For Rohit (39) and his family, finding the right home took some time. With their six-year-old daughter and a new baby on the way, Rohit and his wife Vaishali (39) knew they needed a home that would provide enough space for their growing family.

Rohit and Vaishali were living in a new build house in Whitnash, Warwickshire, when they began their property search: “When we bought our previous house, we always knew it wasn’t our forever home. As our family grew, we wanted more space and a home that we loved and could be proud of,” Rohit explains.

The couple spent two years searching for the right home, viewing properties with several different housing providers as they considered their options. It wasn’t until Vaishali became pregnant with their second child that they decided it was time to make a decision.

“Warwick and Leamington Spa are beautiful places to live in; we really love it here. We wanted a house which matched the beauty of our surroundings that was also a new build. I didn’t want the headache of an older home, but we were always conscious of our budget,” Rohit explains.

“For the sort of money we were willing to spend, we wanted space, and lots of it! Many properties we saw were at the top end of our budget but just weren’t big enough for us.”

Rohit and Vaishali booked a viewing for a five-bedroom house at Beauchamp Park, a development by L&Q offering access to plenty of green space and quick links to both Warwick and Leamington Spa. Designed with an emphasis on quality, homes at Beauchamp Park reflect the charming character of Warwick and its surrounding areas via smart, sympathetic design.

“When we saw the homes on offer at Beauchamp Park, it changed the game for us really. Other builders were offering far smaller plots and single garages for the same price, but here, we got everything we wanted and more. A bad house is never going to be good, no matter how much you try to improve it. We wanted a large, well-built home from the start, and that’s what we found here.”

For Rohit, one of the most appealing aspects of Beauchamp Park was its surroundings. “We initially assumed this area would be out of our budget because it’s so beautiful, but when we checked, it was possible! We were thrilled,” Rohit recalls.

When asked about the buying process, Rohit explains, “Our buying journey went smoothly. The L&Q team were extremely helpful and were always there when we had any questions. We moved in during October and welcomed our son a couple of months after – so things have been a bit of a whirlwind!”

“We’re still living like university students at the moment, with our furniture from our old house and the odd box still to unpack,” Rohit laughs. “But it will all come together in time. Having a newborn baby has certainly taken up our attention for the moment, but we’re excited to start putting some energy into really making this house our home.”

“There’s a real sense of community here. The location is perfect – Warwick is within walking distance really, and I plan to start jogging there when the weather warms up. There’s even an children’s play area onsite, which will be perfect for the kids.”

The development is also close to major shopping centres, gyms, and highly rated schools. Rohit works as a Lead Engineer for Jaguar Land Rover, who’s Warwickshire campus is a short drive away. Warwick Technology Park is within walking distance of their home, too. Vaishali who is a software engineer is looking ahead to resuming work from her new home office setup after maternity leave.

“We see ourselves staying here for a long time. The community is wonderful, and we can’t wait to see the development grow.”
