Close to our Shared Ownership homes at The Arbour, there are a number of great schools in Chelmsford, and some right on the doorsteps of Beaulieu residents, making the area itself a fantastic option for families. We’ve put together some useful info on some of these schools to help ease your anxieties about where to send your children in the local area.

Beaulieu Day Nursery

Positioned just across the road from Beaulieu’s main park, Beaulieu Day Nursery is a great option for those with little ones aged between 3 months and 5 years. They recognise the importance of nursery in shaping a child’s development, and they have a particular focus on encouraging children to explore the natural world. Use of the formal gardens is encouraged daily, meaning children get plenty of exercise and fresh air, as well an opportunity to discover local plants and wildlife. On top of offering lessons in literacy, European languages and ICT safety as part of their curriculum, Beaulieu Day Nursery also offers children’s yoga, children’s dance sessions and football sessions, encouraging kids to stay active and healthy all year round.

The Beaulieu Park School

As the first all-through school in Essex, The Beaulieu Park School is a great option for a range of parents. Built to meet the needs of the growing community at Beaulieu and The Arbour, the school believes that all children deserve access to outstanding education. Their status as an all-through school makes them an excellent choice; the continuity offered by this school model helps students to make exceptional progress without the disruption caused by phase breaks. The Beaulieu Park School is currently graded as Outstanding in all areas and is just a stone’s throw from our brand-new homes at The Arbour.

New Hall School

Just down the road from Beaulieu Park, New Hall School is a Catholic independent boarding and day school for girls and boys between the ages of 1 to 18. The school follows the ‘diamond model’, which sees students educated in co-ed settings up until the age of 11 and again at Sixth Form. Between the ages of 11 and 16 they are taught in single-sex classes. This is to allow for sensitive pastoral and academic provision, paying mind to just how difficult adolescence can be. Last inspected in 2016, the Preparatory and Senior Schools were given a rating of Excellent.

Jesters Nursery and Pre-School Beaulieu Park, Springfield Primary School, Chancellor Park Primary School and The Boswells School are just a few other examples of the great options close by.

Beginning to think that Beaulieu could be the perfect area for you and your family? Set in the already flourishing Beaulieu community, locals have access to numerous amenities, brilliant schools, green spaces and great transport links. Commuters can get into London in around 30 minutes from Chelmsford station, and buses get residents directly to Chelmsford city centre.
