The shortlist for the 2025 Northern Housing Awards has been revealed, and we’re pleased to announce that L&Q has been shortlisted in two categories: Home Builder of the Year and Partnership of the Year, with Lovell Homes for Whalley Manor.

Recognising L&Q’s growing programme of homes currently available and being built across the North West of England, the awards celebrate organisations that are making a difference in improving homes and communities across the North of England.

Whalley Manor, Whalley, Lancashire, has been shortlisted for the prestigious Partnership of the Year, highlighting the joint venture between L&Q and Lovell Homes, and close working with Lancashire County Council and Ribble Valley Borough Council.

This partnership has made community engagement a priority, with local schools receiving £899,655 in funding and independent businesses in the village benefiting from support for events and initiatives.

Beyond providing new homes, the project has fostered regional growth through investments in green spaces, sustainability and local community programs, including a £70,000 Community Fund to support local causes.

We have also been shortlisted in the Home Builder of The Year category, receiving recognition for our delivery of homes at developments alongside Whalley Manor, including D’Urton Grange, L&Q at Victoria Riverside and Saxon Fields. This acknowledgment celebrates L&Q’s focus on enhancing the overall living experience of our customers, and approach to delivering homes and neighbourhoods – from community engagement initiatives, through to offering high-quality and efficient properties.

Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on Thursday 1st May 2025, at The Point in Manchester.
