Prime Point Partners with Firepit Art Gallery & Studios CIC
L&Q has partnered with the Firepit Art Gallery & Studios CIC to bring three unique artworks to the show home at Prime Point, a brand new development in Greenwich Peninsula.
Integrated as part of the interior design scheme by show home specialists Suna, the partnership celebrates the rich culture of Greenwich Peninsula.
An experimental, forward-thinking artist collective aiming to support local talent, Firepit is a Community Interest Company in Greenwich Peninsula. With a quarterly programme of exhibitions and a rolling programme of events, shows and workshops, the CIC is at the heart of the arts community.
Rose Cooper-Thorne, Head of Marketing for L&Q, said: “Giving a platform to local talent is really important to L&Q, and we’re delighted to be creating a new development in such a culturally rich area as Greenwich Peninsula. This is a place where our future residents will have access to world-class art and culture on their doorstep, and we wanted to bring a small part of that to our show home here.”
The pieces selected for the show home were Equanimity III by Anastasya Martynova and two pieces from the Regular Stitch series by Shumaiya Khan. Both artists have connections to Greenwich.
Anastasya’s studio is located in the Design District, in the heart of Greenwich Peninsula. Her piece is part of the Fractured Series, which draws inspiration from the Japanese art of kintsugi, meaning to join with gold. Shumaiya is based in Greenwich and her work focuses on metaphysics, movement in the unseen, and emotive storytelling.
Prime Point is a collection of 472 new homes in Greenwich Peninsula. The Peninsula is a unique destination for urban life, one of South East London’s fastest-growing neighbourhoods, and a place that encourages work and play to co-exist. Residents are able to take advantage of amenities including the iconic O2 Arena and its host of sell-out concerts, outlet shopping at The O2, plus bars and restaurants, whilst art fans can discover installations from artists all over the Peninsula – as well as Firepit, the independent NOW Gallery also hosts a series of free exhibitions.
