The North of England's biggest urban renewal project

Jointly developed and funded by FEC and Manchester City Council, Victoria North is set to create 15,000 new homes across 155 hectares and seven neighbourhoods over the next 15 years, helping with the shortfall in housing in Manchester. At the heart of the regeneration is the new City River Park which covers 46 hectares of new and improved parkland.

Victoria Riverside is at the forefront of the new, distinct residential neighbourhood at Red Bank and New Town, benefiting from its location within Manchester City Centre, but offering something new to its community.

Red Bank Overview

Red Bank will be home to 8,000 people across three characterful neighbourhoods, all connected by green walking and cycling routes. Set by the River Irk and opening onto St Catherine’s Wood, it marks the start of the 113-acre City River Park – Manchester’s largest new green space. Red Bank Riverside

The first neighbourhood to arrive, Riverside blends waterside living with green open space. Just minutes from the city centre, it’s a place to live, work and unwind – with new homes, shops, cafés and workspaces creating a vibrant community for all.

Red Bank Viaduct

Alive with character and history, the Viaduct will weave homes, green spaces and waterside venues into its iconic railway arches. This unique neighbourhood celebrates Red Bank’s industrial past while welcoming new places to eat, drink and gather – a true destination.

Red Bank Plateu
