A new neighbourhood in the heart of North London
Just a short walk and you’ll be at the iconic Alexanda Palace, with those famous city views and 196-acre parkland, boating lake, pitch-and-putt course, rose garden and even deer enclosure. This historic venue has a year-round calendar of events. In winter, a visit to the ice rink is a must along with the annual Bonfire Night fireworks display.
On a Sunday pay a visit to the award winning and well-loved farmer’s market for top quality local produce. Pick up baked goods, preserves, olives, organic fruit and vegetable, specialty meats as well as delicious street food snacks.
Living at Alexandra Gate you won’t be short of parks and woodland to explore. As well as the parkland at Alexandra Palace there’s also Highgate Wood, for those weekend walks along its scenic trails. The smaller Queens Wood and Coldfall Wood are perfect for summer picnics. For those after something more challenging there’s the Parkland Walk, four and half miles of nature reserve connecting Finsbury Park to Alexandra Palace.
Enjoy the nearby neighbourhoods of Crouch End and Muswell Hill, just a mile from Alexandra Gate. Often described as an “urban village” Crouch End offers an array of independent shops and cafés, pubs, antiques fairs, art spaces and pretty parklands.
Muswell Hill has a village atmosphere, known for beautiful Edwardian architecture and the lively Broadway is lined with child friendly cafés and restaurants alongside independent shops and old fashioned pubs.
Wood Green offers well known high street stores together with independent retailers in The Mall Shopping Centre and along the bustling High Road a short walk from Alexandra Gate. Food lovers will appreciate the wide array of restaurants and cafés with a mix of international cuisines available.
