Ben and Alexandra, had been priced out of the local market for homes despite years of saving. For the young couple, the offer of Shared Ownership made perfect sense. For both of them securing a house in which to showcase their style and with room to entertain their friends and family was key. Here is an insight on their experience of buying their home with L&Q at Marleigh.
“I think the thing that pushed it through for L&Q at Marleigh was the fact that we could get a house which was really important to us. The main thing that attracted us to L&Q at Marleigh was the location, its really easy for us both to cycle to and from work and its really easy to get into town again by cycling or on the bus which was really important but also the space of the property that was one of the main things that brought us here.”
“The sales process with L&Q was great. We were under a time constraint so it started end of June to beginning of July and we moved in by August. It went pretty seamlessly, so we can’t thank them enough. I think what we love most about L&Q at Marleigh is the space within the development, all the houses are really well spaced out so you don’t feel too close to your neighbours. But also there is a nice sense of community as well. So you have the primary school which is about to open, the market square is being developed and there is loads of green spaces as well here.”
“One of the great things about buying here at L&Q at Marleigh is that your white goods are included. So we had the washing machine, the dish washer, cooker, hob and fridge was all included which is great when you’re coming from a rented property, you just don’t have those things, so that was fantastic but also the flooring was included so its great high quality flooring and its very neutral, so you’re so able to put your stamp on it.”
