Cycling, bootcamps and active living at Prime Point
It’s been an active few months at Prime Point, with a cycle lane opening right outside the development and a rooftop bootcamp bringing a local Greenwich Peninsula fitness favourite to new heights.
Both offered the perfect excuse to get out and about this summer, while shining a spotlight on the brilliant local businesses, green spaces and fitness community that Prime Point residents have right on their doorstep.
Exploring the Peninsula on two wheels
To celebrate the new cycle lane outside Prime Point, L&Q teamed up with Greenwich-based bike shop One SixSix Velo, giving one lucky winner the chance to receive a cycling hamper worth up to £500 – packed full of everything needed to get out and explore the local area by bike.
The partnership celebrates the growing cycling community on Greenwich Peninsula and the many ways residents can explore the local area. With cycle storage at Prime Point and an expanding network of routes nearby, getting around on two wheels couldn’t be easier.
Whether it’s a cycle along the Thames, a trip around the Peninsula or simply stopping off at one of the area’s many independent businesses along the way, there’s plenty to discover close to home.
Taking the workout to the rooftop
Cycling isn’t the only way Prime Point residents can keep active locally. This summer, L&Q also welcomed local fitness instructor Shenda Falvey to the development, swapping her usual outdoor bootcamp setting for Prime Point’s rooftop terrace.
Shenda is already a familiar face on the Peninsula, running regular classes in Central Park opposite Prime Point. For the special rooftop session, her boot campers headed up to Prime Point for an energetic workout with a difference – combining a morning of exercise with views across the London skyline.
Following the rooftop session, L&Q teamed up with Shenda to give one lucky winner the chance to experience her classes for themselves, with a complimentary block of bootcamp sessions up for grabs.
The class also offered a chance to experience one of Prime Point’s resident spaces in action. With landscaped communal areas, residents’ lounges and rooftop amenities, the development has been designed with plenty of opportunities to relax, socialise and make the most of life beyond your front door.
More ways to get moving
The fun doesn’t stop there, with plenty more ways to keep active around Greenwich Peninsula.
Reformer Pilates fans can head to the newly opened Sunday Studios, while Gather offers another local option for gym sessions and community-focused workouts. For something a little different, the Design District’s rooftop basketball court comes with impressive views towards Canary Wharf, while Greenwich Peninsula Golf offers the chance to practise your swing against the backdrop of the River Thames.
There’s plenty to make the most of come rest day, too. From pottery and public art to restaurants, bars and an evening at The O2, residents have a growing mix of culture, entertainment and independent businesses to explore around the Peninsula.
Life at Prime Point
Overlooking Central Park, Prime Point puts all of this within easy reach of home. Alongside the green spaces, riverside routes and growing local community outside, residents can enjoy thoughtfully designed homes, private outdoor space and landscaped communal areas within the development itself.
Prime Point offers a collection of Manhattan Studios and one, two and three-bedroom apartments, with homes available for Private Sale, Shared Ownership and London Living Rent.
So, whether it’s jumping on a bike to explore the new cycle route, joining Shenda for a bootcamp in the park, trying a reformer Pilates class or heading to The O2 for the evening, there’s always something to do close to home at Prime Point.
